Reese Shank Recall

Reese and Pro Series has issued a safety recall on Weight Distribution Shanks

This recall covers Reese Part No. 54970 and Pro Series Part No. 63970 sold after August 1,2010 with Serial Nos. TD100435, TD100451, TD100456, TD100511 or TD100617.

Due to a production error, these shanks were not manufactured to the correct specification, resulting in the possibility of the shank failing due to loading during installation and/or use, potentially causing a crash.

See the attached file for more information.
