Reliable mechanic

Haven't seen this thread.
Cedar Key Florida has ONE auto/truck repair shop. They are knowledgeable and trustworthy. I'd rate them 5 of 5.

Brake lights went out and had no trailer brakes.i searched it out and found nothing. Brought it there thinking and talking brake switch (which is high $ labor). Rather than going for the money he started checking the system and found that it was the emergency flasher switch which routs the brake 12v supply on the older GM's. He had it in the shop for 15min and charged me NOTHING!

Central MI top pick is Carr's in Howell just outside Ann Arbor. Had a U-joint going out when coming to pick up our fiver a few years back. Mike and crew got it in and repaired without delay. Treated us like we were their only customer.

Next year back in the area and had serpentine belt and idler go. Once again, in and out in a jiffy. Top notch in my book.
