Scored a 24k SuperGlide for cheap !

Being as the season is approaching, I've been cruising CL for a slider for my Short Bed.

Finally scored on close by for $450 !!

I didn't need a 24k, but what the heck ... Heavy Duty !

Although I still need the frame brackets, it was a great deal.

I could use it as is, but I disassembled it and I am having it powdercoated.

Called up PullRite, and the nice lady is sending me new decals for FREE ...

Here is a few more pics ...

First off, The front of the capture plate was a little long for my pin box, so a little trim and reshape on my metal brake took care of it ...

Nice work! I have my own 100 pound sandblasting pot and have done countless blasting and painting projects and many for others. A guy form work brought me a receiver hitch from a Ford Explorer and it had powder coat paint on it and that plastic is tough to blast. I had a fire going, burning some construction materials (I live in the country) so I just threw it in the fire for about 30 minutes and no more plastic.. Blasted easily then!

Here are a few more final pics ....

Last Saturday had a few minutes to spend at my shop to finish this up. The powdercoater came in to finish up some ornamental fencing for one of his customers, so I was able to "throw" in my pinbox too, what the heck ??

He was willing to coat it an almond/tan color to match my RV, but I told him to not worry about blowing out his maching, just for one coating .... Great guy !

After trimming off the front of the capture plate, it was coated.

My pin box had to be modified (extended) to provide support for the rear section of the plate.

The capture plate is designed to use countersunk 1/4x20 screws, a minimum of 10 is required ... I went with 20
