I'm considering a Softopper folding and removable canvas pickup bed topper for my new Dodge Ram 3500. Does anyone have any experience with this product? Is it as easy to use as their adbvertising claims, and is it well made?

You spent 40K on a new truck and are considering something like that? In a word NO! They look like something the Army would use. Is that the look you want?

Who cares what it looks like if it suits his purposes.

I'll be interested to hear what any owners have to say as well.

You don't say where you live, or in what part of the country you'll be traveling. My concern, because I live in "snow country" is (1) can it stand up to snow and below freezing temps, and (2) when it gets wet due to rain or snow, how quickly does it dry.

We moved up to a hard-sided trailer because we tired of the hassel to dry out the fabric on tent trailers.

It looks like a nice, well-built system, if the points I've raised don't apply to your use.
