Have to clarify tho that despite the towing problems (& I will take another trip, a much shorter one & take the X out of OD.) Had a really great time. Worried too much about making all the hookups; was quite easy.

I also must say that handling was quite good. I had installed an anti-sway bar (good?) but was told I should have had an equalizing hitch. I don't !!

We learn something new every day. I was surprised at how friendly (for the most part) my fellow RV'rs were & how willing they were to impart much needed info. Thanks again !!

I think back to my first handful of 'landings' in my trailer and how I worried a wee bit about making all the hookups and even about backing the trailer into the site.
People at the parks tend to watch everyone else back in. It only took me a time or two to realize what you just said, that they tend to watch with a genuine helpful and friendly nature not because they are trying to make someone nervous. I learned a LOT from the folks who parked next to me years back. I was always a little surprised at how they would point out litle things to me without smiling or making a big fuss out of it.
Kinda like this forum here.

Jodann, where are our manners???

Welcome to the forum and anytime you have a camping or RV question, please ask / type away!

Many great campers with a wealth of knowledge, advice or at least a great sense of humor who have most likely experienced and overcome the problem or question you may have at that time.

Mike.

Jodann, glad you are not looking on this as a bad experience. You will find that RVers are generally very helpful and a friendly bunch. We have been Rving for well over 20 years now and would not miss a minute of all of the good times we have had.

You have already experience Rule One of Rv shopping... Never beleive an RV sales person, or a truck sales person.

If you have any questions, you will find that this is the best RV board on the net and you will get the best answers here. We are not the biggest, just the best. So, don't be bashful and jump in.

Ken
