The new horse! Just need a carriage.

After months of searching for a truck with the factory installed airbags, I finally found one to drive to determine how important they were to me. I noticed absolutely no difference in unloaded ride quality between the factory air assist and less springs versus the regular suspension. The decision was made to order a new truck the following week, but just for fun I swung by our local dealership to check out their new inventory. This beauty had just been dropped off. The plastic hadn't been removed from the seats yet when I checked it out. The options were perfect with the exception of my not caring about the CD player or the automatic wipers and hi-beam dimmer thing. But oh well. Here are the details:

2015 Ram 3500 Laramie Longhorn MegaCab 4X4. Cummins Diesel mated to the Aisin transmission. 3.73 gears. Factory fifth wheel prep. Max tow rating of 23,200 pounds. Pullrite 24k superglide with picture frame adaptor should arrive next week.

Now we just need a trailer to tow behind it. We have finally decided on a manufacturer, and we will be getting a mobile suites by DRV. Floor plans have been narrowed down to the 39RESB3 or the Cincinnati. The Cincinnati won't be able to be fully loaded with myself, the hitch, my wife, and dogs in the truck, but that's okay. We will only be moving every 2-3 months anyway.

Almost forgot! We close on our house June fifth! Everything seems so real now for our full-timing quest I almost can't believe it!

Congratulation on the Ram truck a real nice tow vehicle. You will love the dual exhaust brake feature on this year of truck and the towing ability of the machine.

If you are new to the Ram/Cummins combination than I would check out the other website; Turbo Diesel Register. Com . Cruise the site and then decide if you would like to join or not. I have been a member since I bought my 2008 Ram Mega Cab in late 07 and have learn a lot about maintenance on these vehicles.
