Tire Pressure Monitoring

What tire pressure monitoring systems would you recommend for your fifth wheel? Our rig is going to weigh in at somewhere north of 16000 fully loaded, so is there a good remote system that will allow you to monitor the trailer tire pressures (i.e., one you have used successfully...) Thanks in advance for you help.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Feel free to use our search feature and you'll find a great deal of material on this topic.

I don't have personal experience with a system I would recommend. I have used the Doran 360 for four years and had to replace virtually all ten sensors already. It's not that they all lasted several years and are just now starting to die but rather have been dying at a regular rate.

Best of luck.

Rick

Do a search on TPMS, you will find several threads on this topic.

Personally I really like my TST TPMS

Here are few of the more active threads on TPMS

TST and Tire Minder/Tire Traker (sic) seem to be the most popular. Do a search and you will find enough to keep you busy reading for a week. I use the Tire Minder and have been very happy with it. The most important thing is that you use some TPM system as they are worth their weight in gold when it comes to peace of mind. You really don't want to have a blowout, trust me (and many others) on that.
