Tire wear problem

Well we just made a nice trip to the coast and back. I had noticed that the door/pass side rear tire was worn on the inside during my pre trip inspection. still had tread but much lower than the others.

After we got home, and during the trip home when we stopped, i noticed that that tire was smooth rubber on the inside w chords starting to show. not metal but chords in a very small spot.

this trailer dosnt have very many miles on it at all and the 3 other tires look almost like the brand new spare. very good condition and lots of tread.

these are the factory tires.

is this an axle problem or a tire balance problem? just not very many miles at all for a tire to wear that much.

any ideas?

I had that same issue, only it was on all four tires.Took it to a frame shop and it turned out all for wheels were out of alignment by almost an inch. Had to get four new tires and have not had a problem since.

I had a bad axle from the factory, both tires on it wore the same as yours. I think I got around 4K miles out of those tires.Even though your trailer is out of warranty it might just pay to ask your dealer to check your axles. Who know what they will say, and it costs nothing to ask.
