Guessing here, but follow the one in the glove box. That sticker will have the order option codes and likely subtract the weight of those options (like 4X4, dual cab) from the base max weight giving you an accurate payload capacity. The door sticker could be stuck to all trucks regardless of options.
At least in my truck, they are both truck specific, and the one in the door is total payload generally, and there is a lower rating in the glovebox for the max weight using a "slide in camper."

I looked it up and the glove box sticker is the capacity after calculating the seating for however many passengers the truck is designed to carry x 150lbs.
you are exactly right. if i max my seating capacity out at 150lbs each, which is completely. laughable, those 2 #’s match. now if you use real world weights their not even close, makes a pretty anemic pickup. .
By the numbers it makes the truck worthless for carrying anything. I will stick with my tire rating and registration weight ratings. After weighing my pickup if i went by axle rating i have 2900 lbs i can carry and by tire rating 3700 lbs give or take a couple lbs. The yellow sticker says 1995 lbs.
