Make sure your trailer frame and hitch as well as the truck can handle the additional weight. As for the length that is up to you but most states are around 65 feet that allow double towing, a few are 70-75 ft. I have pulled a Jeep behind my fiver for several years and it pulled great, no issues of any kind, follow's the trailer when turning, never a problem. I was over length and never had any problems with the LEO's but was still not legal. We now "double drive" since buying a new Jeep unlimited! LOL.
