A fifth wheel is safe and will pull the best. If you get a tt take the advice from post # 12 get a good hitch setup not the cheap friction sway bar. Pay the money for a pulright propride or hensley hitch or your next thread might be titled " how do i get rid of this scary sway"

For me (and I have a TT currently) the 5ers tow much better... in addition you don't have to deal with installing / removing sometimes complicated and heavy hitches all the time with the 5er... just unhook and leave the hitch in the bed.

Are you saying a semi-permanently installed 5th wheel hitch is less complicated than a ball mount in a receiver?
Not following you.

Minnie, my comment was more around the connection of the WD hitch... Some of these system are get complicated to connect the WD and anti-sway bars to the the TT... I know I was at a campground a few weeks back speaking with an older gentlemen (probably mid 60's). The dealer sold him a Hensley Arrow hitch (as best I could make out from his description, he couldn't remember the name).. After spending the better part of the day trying to disconnect the damn thing he took the trailer and hitch back to the dealer and got a 5er. Maybe it was just him... I will say my Equalizer is very simple, but I also know that my wife would struggle putting the ball mount in the truck receiver by herself... She also struggles with getting the bars up on their perches by herself.
