Towing vehicle option
Buying a Winnebago 1706FB (Dry Weight = 3050 LBS). I'm trying to decide which of my two vehicles would be better to tow with (using a Equilizer Weight Distribution Hitch).
I have a GMC Acadia Denali AWD, 3.6L V-6, 288 HP @ 6300 RPM, 270 FT LB Torque @ 3400 RPM, Axle Ratio = 3.16, Curb weight = 4850 LBS, 5200 LB Towing Capacity.
I also have a Chevy Silverado, RWD, Reg. Cab, Std Bed (6-1/2 ft), 4.8L V-8, 295 HP @ 5600 RPM, 305 FT LB Torque @ 4800 RPM, Axle Ratio = 3.23, Curb Weight = 4600 LBS, 5200 TowingCapacity.

Towing capacity is probably not your limiter. Payload capacity is your limiter
I would load them both up with everyone and everything that will be in them when towing, then drive to a certified automated truck scale and fill up with gas. Then weigh them both.
GVWR minus actual wet and loaded weight = payload capacity available for hitch weight. Choose the one that has the highest payload capacity available for hitch weight. I'll bet it's the pickup.

I used to have the same truck, I towed my 4800lb wet and loaded (scaled) Thor from Santa Barbara CA to Seattle. Last year took it to Idaho and she did fine, the truck never made me feel uncomfortable. My truck kept up with highway speeds but I never pushed it. Oh my empty weight is 4200 so you shouldn't have a problem.

Depends on the color trailer and if it matches the tow vehicle.
The Truck will be the better choice but you could use the Arcadia in a pinch.

The truck will probably handle the TT a bit better than the Acadia but both should handle it OK.

I'm wondering if the transmission in the Denali is up to it. I know the truck transmission is good.
What transmission is in the Denali?

Does either vehicle have a factory tow package? That would make my decision for me.

The Denali has a 6 Speed Automatic with heavy-duty cooling system.

The Denali has factory Tow Package (heavy-duty cooling system). The pickup just has factory installed hitch.
