Towing with small pickup with 4 litre motor

I towed a 19' lightweight TT that was just under 4K ready to go with even some water on with a Sonoma 4.3 V6 Crewcab for two seasons. Even went over the Rockies and back. Used an equilizer hitch and added a trans cooler. Had to move to the truck lanes on the long grades but always made it.

He should be looking at something with a dry weight under 3000 lbs. and there are some very nice trailers in this category. More and more trailer manufacturers are making very light 16 and 17 foot travel trailers that can be towed by smaller and more fuel efficient vehicles. While camping I see these frequently and I have spoken with a number of owners and they have all been delighted with them and with being able to tow them with a fuel efficient vehicle that is a better daily driver.
