When I was hauling different cars on a flatbed trailer behind my motorhome, I used axle staps and put them around the lower control arms up front and either the rear axle or the lower control arms if indepent suspension. Make sure that you don't pinch any brake lines or abs lines. Also I always crossed the rear staps, i.e., the left axle strap gets hooked to the right side of the trailer, and the right side axle strap gets hooked to the left side of the trailer. Hauled many different sizes and types of cars this way and never had a problem. If you have any questions, just ask, I will be happy to try to answer.
