Note that Ford has two completely different F450's. The fancy verson is a essentially a heavy duty F350--only coming in a 4x4. The cab and chassis F450 is more like the F550's, and it can be 4x2 or 4x4. It's the hoss in this field, and it'd usually have the 4.30 gear ratio and a diesel. The F450 cab/chassis is the only way you can get a V10 in a pickup truck.

The special bodies have been discussed above. I'm thinking one will be in the $12k or $13K price range.

Mine was like $5k, but that was 12 yrs ago. And since it will last as long as I need a tow vehicle, far cheaper to move it to the new truck.
