TS 3, Comfort Ride, or another hitch?

I'm looking at hitches and the two that jump out at me are the TS3 or the Comfort Ride. I want a hitch with at least a 20,000 lb rating. Both are expensive, but in the long run with less wear and tear on equipment the money will be well spent.

Has anyone used both? Also I would like some feed back with any experience (good or bad) with either one. Or maybe an alternative Hitch.

I use the Comfort Ride 30k hitch and love it! I like the fact that I can adjust for a changing pin weight in just a few seconds. It truly makes for a smooth ride and being that it never needs to be greased is a plus. No grease to get on your hands or pants.

Did your F350 come with the fifth wheel package from the factory and if so what did you have to do to set it up if anything extra was needed?

Yes I have the factory prep for fifth wheel and gooseneck. Nothing needs to be done, just decide on which hitch and drop it in.

Thanks, I'm leaning that way. It makes sense dollar wise. It's about a $1,000.00 cheaper than the TS3. I l do like the air ride feature but do not know if it would be worth the extra money.

If it makes you feel better, Comfort Ride was designed by the same guy as the Trailersaver. Just new technology in place of the air bags. I recently had a 2 day discussion with him at a rally we attended. He's actually going to build me several replacement parts for my old trailersaver that he built 17 years ago.

I saw Rick this past weekend in TN at the HDT rally.

I am looking at a ET Hitch and comfort ride. Seems that the ET might have more control over chucking. Am I wrong? Anyone use the comfort ride have any comments on how it controlled the chucking.

dadej- The ET hitch is built more for the MDT and HDT crowd. The stiff frames of the big truck can play havoc with the 5th wheel and this particular hitch was designed to absorb the jolt of the truck and chucking motion of a camper. Most of the folks using these hitches are pulling RV's with a pin weight of 5k lbs or higher.
