Upgrading Ram 2500 Mirrors

I just upgraded to a 2013 Ram 2500 SLT but unfortunately it did not come with tow mirrors. The standard tow mirrors I have currently have power adjustment and are heated.

The new mirrors I am looking at have the turn signal and puddle lamps installed. I've read conflicting reports that the truck computer can be flashed and they will work while others say if it didn't come with those features it isn't possible to add them.

Does anyone have an answer? No matter what I'm buying the new mirrors as I need to have two mirrors. I have looked for two mirrors with only the standard equipment but no one seems to make them (besides the dealer which is overpriced).

Thanks for any help!

The mirrors are , way over priced from the dealer, and high priced from salvage yards, because they are frequently needed for accident repairs. But a salvage yard price should be 1/2 of the new price, if you can find them.
The wiring and controls will be the same , if year is correct.

Edit: But you know that.

Yeah it's crazy how much they want! I had a pair from my 2011 that I was going to put on however Ram changed the placement of the temperature sensor on 2013 models. It's in the drivers side mirror so unless someone wrecks a new one, I am outta luck at the salvage yard. Oh well, I was able to get a new pair for $361. Far less than what the dealer wanted.

And you should be able to recover a lot of that by selling the ones you have.
Thanks for wrapping up your thread, with your result.
