Just like threads about oil, or politics, or..... U get all kinds of hyperbole:-)
Having had two of those 6.ohno's I guess I was just lucky....

Or maybe I just did the correct maintenance and even the SCT programming didn't mess up either one :-)

And the bulletproof 7.3 ? It was bought back by ford without 40k miles - so take internet ting :-) with a grain of salt. ...

One thing for sure the two 6.7's I have/had are solid !

Yes, John I have heard of good 6.0L just as you have spoke, and I have heard of bad 7.3L's but on the whole 100% more 6.0L problems than 7.3L problems...and it could be the number of 6.0L they sold as well compared to the 7.3L...but we had failure after failure...changing fuel filters, even kept extras to change, but the EGR's were junk on the 6.0L and the Turbo's would drop out as well...
Funny thing is if you had problems and you took the 6.0L into Ford Dealer, you could walk around the shop and see 6.0L's being worked on everywhere, turbos, egr's, etc...not once did I notice a 7.3L being worked on in the two dealerships I had to have the 6.0L's repaired...but I never owned a 7.3L either...
