We are fairly new at rving. I am concerned about the weight of our TT. After readibg some of the messages in the forums, I am concerned.
I don't know where to take my TT to be weighed.
Could any one help me with this.

Thanks, Rick

See you are in the Houston area. Welcme aboard and check out the Texas Boomers in the South Central region to see who is campping near you.

Most truck stops ahve public scales or check with local moving companies, grain companies ot gravel pits. You will need to get two sets of weights, first with the truck fully fueled and loaded with all passengers, get both axle weights. Next get a weight with the trailer loaded fro travel and hitched to the truck. You will get three weights on this trip, front axle, rear axle and the pair of trailer axles.

Drop me a PM if you need any help. We are living in our 5er in Tomball and building a house in Cypress.

Ken

Truck stops can be very busy on the scales. You probably will have to call the fuel desk to activate the scales. Watch the signs to see which channel to use on the cb. If you dont have a cb then have somrone watch you pull up on the scales and then request the clerk to weigh you. Just dont park on tthe scales and walk in. Not all big trucks have cbs so the have a button to talk to the clerks but they are sometimrs a little too high too reach.

Do a search on google for CAT scales. That will show you locations etc.
I have weighed at multiple CAT scales and they always have a button to call inside for.
When they ask you truck number, just tell them you are private.
