My grandparents towed with an 86 LTD (302 powered) for years.
Having driven that particular setup, the issue isn't towing - it's stopping, especially on slick roads... Just be careful.

I want to thank everyone who has responsed to my request for help. If you folks are an example of the rv'ers out there, I can't wait to get started. I have now changed directions and think it might be better for us to get a small motorhome. I think in the long run it will be easier for both of us. Buying a rv to travel in is just like buying a boat to cruise on, which I have done, you just have to give up something to get something. I am looking at a couple right now. The old LTD will have to wait for another day. Thanks again you were alot of help. Hope to see you on the road in August. Linda
