I've added a shortcut to the Fifth Wheel section - you should get plenty of opinions there.

We have the B&W Turnover Ball Gooseneck Hitch and Companion Fifth Wheel Hitch.
We got this particular hitch because, at some time in the future, we'll be getting a slide-in truck camper, and wanted a totally clean bed when the hitch is removed. Besides that, though, we really like the way the hitch works...it has jaws that clamp around the king pin very much like the Holland/Binkly head we had on our MDT.

I've got an Air Safe hitch. It is the 25K model with the Binkley head. 25K Air Hitch
Having the air bags seperates the bucking and banging between the truck and trailer. You can really tell the difference when hitting those rough transitions from highway to bridge and back to highway. Going down the road it is easy to look back and see the hitch working away all the while feeling little to nothing in the truck.
There were two draw-backs for me. The first was the cost and second was that it is really heavy. I use a motor hoist to get it in and out of the bed of the truck.

present 5er hitch is a 16K Reese. I've had three different brands and they all work as advertized. I wouldn't worry with selecting between any brand. However it would help us in what your requirements are such as do you need a slider (manual or auto)or do you want a clean bed design or how big or small of a hitch do you need. ...Jim

Air Safe 25K with the Holland head. Smooths out the bumps, protects the framing of the trailer and helps keep things inside the rig in the same place as you left them. Love the huge head - - just like the truckers use, no slop, no banging, no noise, no worry about whether it is closed.

I also have the B&W Companion, which ancors to the socket of their Turn-Over ball goose neck hitch.
Pivoting 4 ways is a must have, it has a good range of up/down and fore/aft adjustability, and I like that the jaws enclose the pin and that it is easy to see that it is properly hitched.
It's main advantage is that it doesn't leave rails in the bed when removed, and also you have the goose ball.
Downside wise, you do have to have a 3/4" socket and tork wrench to put it in or remove it. Also, next time (if I have the money) I'll get something in an air ride hitch.
