I'm set on buying an RDS in-bed aux tank but there are several suppliers. I see many folks here buy from Northern Tool. Doing my calculations, including shipping, I see that Northern Tool is not the cheapest. 3G Tool Boxes is almost $250 cheaper. Nationwide Wholesale Direct (NWD) is also a little cheaper than Northern.

Has anyone done business with either 3G or NWD? Reputable? Thanks.

Another option would be a 60 Gal replacement tank from-
aerotanks.com
The advantages are- only one fill location, no valves to switch, use your factory fuel level gage, doesn’t use TV bed space.
Their factory is in San Bernardino, CA
Trailer Life Mag. had an article a few years ago about installing one yourself.
I get about 450-500 mile range towing my RV and about 1000 miles range driving solo.

I bought my 90 gallons RDS tank from Nationwide Wholesale Direct (NWD) because of the price. A nice lady took my order and explained that they are a small company that takes orders and then has the factory drop ship it to you, similar to many internet companies. Little overhead equals cheaper prices.

I'll take a 5 gallon back up in a case we get really low, but I can't (nor want to) go much more than that in any one stint.
Heck, it's hard to find a pump that goes over $100 in most places around here so getting 100 gallons of fuel must be a trick.

I plan on fueling up at home and not having to get fuel for 1,000+ miles. We go to San Diego quite often and I relish not having to buy fuel in Cali at their high prices. And I absolutely do not like stopping mid-day for fuel in an unfamiliar location with a 41' toy hauler complicating things. Also, I can plan my fuel stops ahead of time in order to get the least expensive fuel.

I know price is important but convenience and safety are important also. I used to sell Transfer Flow auxiliary fuel tanks at a truck equipment dealership and although not the cheapest they are by far the best. You would need to read their information to get all the features. It is important that the tank you purchase is DOT approved, for liability and safety.
Transfer Flow makes many styles and sizes and great people to deal with, especially if you have an installation problem. They make a low profile for TVs used for fifth wheels. Also have a tank system that ties into the truck fuel system and maintains a equal tank level in the main tank and aux tank constantly. Check them out at www.transferflow.com

We sold other brands of aux fuel tanks but most of those were used for refueling other equipment. When it came to extra fuel capacity on the road the Transfer Flow was the very best.

Transer flow is a great tank they will even bedliner spray it for $150. Not cheap but very high quality.

Any drop transfer tanks similar to the NT tanks are cheap and easy to use for his application. Just don't add a pump transfer then a licenced installer is required. Have one now for 18 years and love it.

You just go inside and prepay, lol. I have Transfer Flow and Titan tanks in two of my trucks. I wait til the low fuel light comes on before I fill them up, when not towing. It's always over $125 depending on prices.

***UPDATE***

Purchased an RDS tank from Northern Tool through Amazon.com. It was an easy install and the gravity feed works great. Went on a 350 mile test trip and it sure was nice not having to find a place to get fuel. And the truck's fuel gauge stayed on full the whole time without any problems.

That is the setup I have used in 2 trucks for over 250000 miles. And the same with the fuel gauge. I would caution you to keep an eye on the water separator if your truck has such a gadget and check/drain it regularly.
