Why dosent Draw-Tite, Reese, or Hidden Hitch (all same thing with diff name when I got mine) make a 5th wheel hitch that goes in their goosenecks? Like B&W and the Colibert that fits B&W hitch. I even saw a shaft adapter that makes the Companion fit into a pop up brand G/N hitch.

Just seems to me like it would be better for them to offer it.

does make a gooseneck plate that fits the same bed-rails as the 5er hitch. Reese calls theirs "the goose". Since gooseneck ball hitches are not as strong as fifth wheel pin hitches, this seems logical to me. BTW, 5th wheel hitches are the only towing hitch that does not require safety chains.

The B&W turnoverball gooseneck is rated for 30K lbs. The B&W companion 5th wheel hitch is rated for 18K lbs.

im talking about....why dosent DT, reese, hidden hitch make a thing like the companion that hooks up where the gooseneck ball does for trucks that have a gooseneck hitch in them.

B&W has the companion and Colibert makes one for the B&W GN hitch.....why dosent draw tite, reese, and hidden hitch make one...........

I don't believe anyone on this forum can answer your question. It would be better posed to the product planners and engineers at DrawTite/Reese/Hidden Hitch.

Blue Ox makes a gooseneck hitch called the Diamond Hitch. Our neighbors have one they use for their horse trailer. They love it.

Does it have a companion 5th wheel hitch accessory like the B&W (which is the subject of this old thread)??

notice the goose ball built for class 7 and 8 trucks on this page. The one that is rated for 45,000 lbs is skimpy compared to the one I built for my truck.
