I am very new to RVing as I just put down a deposit on my very first motorhome. I own a 2007 ram 1500 QC / Laramie with a top to bottom / front to back lifetime warranty with no mileage limits that for obvious reasons I want to keep. The problem is how to tow it behind the 33' 1982 Vogue II motorhome I am buying. I'm not a spring chicken any more (more like an exhausted rooster) and I can't be climbing under the truck to attach or detach the drive shaft I cannot afford to buy a car (truck) carrier and I know nothing about using a tow-dolly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a 4X4 I believe you can put the transfer case in neutral and flat tow the truck this way. Your owners manually will state that if it is the case on the 1500 4X4 model truck.

Thanks guys - unfortunately my Dodge is a 2 wheel drive so I am going to save my pennies until I have enough to get a car/truck carrier as the trailer I have needs brakes installed and it is approximately 4" too narrow. Ah well such is life
LOL, "exhausted rooster" I love that. I'm gonna have to remember that one.
More decades back than I clearly want to remember I belonged to the US Jaycees and when you hit the right venerable age of 36 and too drain bamaged to continue at the intensive pace you were designated an exhausted rooster and required to retire from active participation in chapter activities. Have fun with it.
