1st time poster

Greetings everyone! I've been lurking around here for a few months now and finally decided to make my first post. I was in the market for a TT this past spring after getting a new tow vehicle (2014 Nissan Xterra PRO-4X) and stumbled across this forum in my research. I actually had no idea that hybrid's existed before finding this forum. It ended up being a blessing as a few weeks later, my wife and I pulled the trigger on a 2015 Aerolite 174E.

To date, my family and I have spent about 20 nights over various long weekends since our purchase and have loved every minute. I will say that I am glad to have an upgraded 15,000 BTU A/C! Texas summer heat can be brutal.

Our first weekend out we got ourselves caught in a pretty hard thunderstorm. We had about 3 inches of rain in about 4 hours. Both beds were deployed and only had 1 small leak that a small seam of silicone fixed the next day.

Welcome to the Aerolite family.

Were on our 2nd Aerolite hybrid. 2005 and now a 2013. Had about 380 nights in the 05' and over 200 in our newer one. Yes, the hybrids gives you the most bang for the buck. Just got back from 23 days in Vermont. Plan on taking it to Alaska next summer.

Starting to kick tires looking for our "next" RV. I want to stay in the 26' to 28' range, but the wifey can't see the difference between that and 32'...I still think it's a few years down the line if I can help it. Just keep coming back to the "space" one gets with a hybrid.

J. Brown: Being a new member myself (2nd post), I still welcome you. I love my hybrid (2003 Shamrock by Forest River) 21 ft. w/slide. It's about as big as I will go. Has everything I need and still gives me that "camping" feeling. I prefer out of the way areas where larger "rigs and TTs" cannot go.

Same here: The two VT. State Parks we stayed at this month were great for RV's under 25'. One there was a single lane / 12 ton limit trestle bridge at the entrance. The other was 5 miles down a narrow gravel road where the tree canopy barely fit our 10' tall 26' hybrid RV only if you drove down the middle of the road.
