Anyone know the max. rear bumper weight for a 2005 Thor Wanderer hybrid trailer? I have a bike hitch receiver mounted and existing from the previous owner and would like to mount bikes on the back bumper.
Thanks.

I had a 2005 Thor/Dutchman?Aerolite Cub hybrid. The bumper on that one was paper thin 3 sided. What I did was take the spare tire off, which was mounted on the rear wall of the trailer and make up a "L" shaped bracket that I attached to the wall mounted spare tire mount. At the end it now has a 2" receiver that I was able to put a 3 bike carrier into. My new 2013 Aerolite hybrid now has a 4" square 4 sided bumper that might be able to hold a bike rack. Here is a picture or two of that 2005 set-up
Thanks for the info. I too have a 4 sided pretty substantial welded bumper on the Thor Wanderer. I know I can mount bikes, but one bike rack company suggested that the axle proximity may be too far forward for certain racks or weight ratios and that is what I'm trying now to find out. Does anyone know how to find spec sheets on the internet as all I get are dealerships when I search for anything RV inclined.
