Post Cikira Escape 20EXP Expandable questions

Does anyone Own a Cikria or know where I can find some information about the these campers, I know how they are made kind of but, I want to know what some of the issues are.

We just bought one from a dealer and they did a lot of the resealing and stuff, this camper is in great shape with now major water damage that I can see other then a soft spot in the floor, not sure if this is form water damage or if it is from something else.
Wondring if any one has any information on these campers?

Many rv trailer depending on their floor structure "can" have softer spots in the floor. Even brand new trailer on dealers lots, you will notice some are still a little soft in spots between the floor supports underneath. Some used a "sandwich" of 3/16" wood/ 2" foam and 3/16" plywood. Bonded together makes a light weight floor structure. But depending on how and where the underneath floor supports are can make it appear soft.

Using this floor sandwich if they bolted the entrance door steps thru the floor that may also give the steps a spongy feel.

What year is the trailer?

Did you see the Vimco video on from 2008 on the water issues? The guy said they used 7/16" flakeboard which because of roof leaks has rotted out the whole trailer. How does your roof look? Regular "plywood" would be somewhat stronger for the floor. Near the end of this guys video he is under the unit. I don't see many cross braces for the floor. So thinking even with a dry floor you are getting some de-flection while walking on the floor. IU had a buddy who had a soft floor and added his own cross braces to give the floor more support.

If you look at this guy's video he has issues around the whole thing. The Cikira company started in 2005 and filed for chapter 11 in 2011. So not that long of a run.
