Hi-Lo Trailer Co. Out of Business
Hi-Lo Trailer Company Inc. has closed its doors, its shareholders have voted to liquidate the assets of the corporation and dissolve it immediately. Due to the current economic situation and the downturn in sales of recreational vehicles, Hi-Lo Trailer will no longer continue to operate.

That is so sad. We bought a HiLo/Towlite in 2001 and used it until 2006. Our son now has it. It is like new. Great little Camper. We've moved on to larger campers but the HiLo (19') was a very very good Camper. Travelled many, many miles in Canada with it.

For those of you who still own a Hi-Lo, I found this site, hilo-parts.com that might be of assistance.
A little tid-bit of info: When Dave & I were first married, we lived just about a mile from the plant. However, that long ago, it was a turkey farm. Every year, about a month before Thanksgiving, our yard would be strewn with turkey feathers as the birds were trucked by, destined for people's dinner tables.

Interesting story Lori. In about 1999 we visited the Plant in Ohio before we purchased our Towlite Camper. We purchased the small 19' one without a fridge and stove. Used it for five years and travelled back and forth across Canada at least three times. AT the time our son was living in Ottawa and we were in Saskatchewan and I also had a Mom & Brother in Ontario. That Camper was such a dream to tow. No wind resistence but it was a heavy camper compared to those built today. Our son is still using the Towlite and pulling it with his FORD Edge. Bit of a strain to pull it but he is staying close to home and his Edge does pretty well with a good hitch arrangement.
I am truly sorry to see the HiLo go. It was a very very good idea.

Thanks for that site. I'll pass it on to our son. The only repair we ever made to the Camper was replacing the seal around the two halves. My husband did the work himself. It wasn't a big deal.
