I just have to show off my new R-Pod 175 by Forest River! As can be seen I tow it with my Jeep Liberty 4X4.

It has everything in it that I need when I take the Liberty out on the trails over night. Plus it tows real easy.

Here is the floor plan:

Here are the specs:

I have had it out quite a few times now and love it. There are a few quirks as can be expected. The queen bed fits real tight and is a pain in the butt to put sheets on. The kitchen is small. No surprise there I guess. But all in all I am very pleased with it.

Ya, I saw a write-up in Trailer Life Magazine a few months back. I like the low profile AC unit, and the fact it has a 36 gallon fresh water supply. that is more than some larger travel trailers have. That is one think that eeerks me, is companies are putting tiny fresh water tanks into trailers. I friend our ours was looking at a new 30' travel trailer with a 26 gallon fresh water tank. You know your going to be buying a 30'er for a family, so why would you put in a 26 gallon tank. I have a 46 in my hybrid, which even with a few showers we can last 7 nights.

They offer what they call an axle riser. To me it's a lift kit. It fits on top of the axle and is a 3.75" steel plate. I had it put on when the camper was built so that it would match the Jeep which is lifted. Sometimes when I go trail riding in the KJ I spend the night so I just pull the Pod off road to where I want it and sleep good at night! I'm too old to be sleeping on the ground!
