Does your camper by any chance have a battery disconnect switch? If so, it might be in the "OFF" position.

From what you describe sounds as if that may be the problem. The reason everything works when plugged in, is that the converter is supplying the 12v directly to your 12v system which over time can be harmful to the converter as it's function is to keep the house batteries charged.

The other area to check is the 12v cable connection from your battery to the 12v fuse panel inside your camper.

Good luck and keep us posted on the fix

Jim is probably correct but if that fails, a VOM is your friend, find where you do have power and trace till you don't. It could be a dead battery of bad connection or...

since you don't mention what year, brand, type or model of RV you have, it makes it difficult to answer your question.

if it's a trailer, there's a resettable fuse/breaker inline between the battery and the front of the trailer. it's usually along the tongue, tucked up inside.

Make sure you have a good ground connection to the frame of camper, they save wiring by using the frame for 12v return back to battery.
