Well the wife and I spent three days at the OKC RV show. As we bounced back and forth between a number of RV's we felt we learned a lot about construction methods and our preferences.
We finally got to two we liked. Grand Design and Highland Ridge Open Range. As with all comparisons there were pro and cons to each unit. We finally decided we liked the greater number of windows in the OR and the slide out flooring matches the rest of the unit. Storage was better with the GD and the bath room was much larger.
Anyway this is the model we felt best fits our plan.
Ultra Lite | Travel Trailers | UT2710RL | Highland Ridge RV
Our wants were:
1) Under 6K dry weight
2) Tall shower
3) Recliner seats
4) Separate bedroom
5) Decent kitchen counter top area
We almost dropped the hammer on the deal but we have a boat and lake property to sell before we take the plunge. We have an idea now what it will cost.
We are still going to look at gently loved used units but it may be hard to find one that we like as well as this one.
Any advice or opinions ya'll want to share?
