14' or larger garage area? Who makes them?

New to the Toy Hauler category and have a need for a large garage area for a 1500 lb race car. I have spent too many hours looking through various sales ads and have only found a couple manufacturers. Who else makes a toy hauler with a larger garage area?

Also where can I find these for sale?

I've found most of the major Indiana mfgs have 13' then they jump to 15' toy haulers. Keystone has a couple of floor plans that are in the 15' range, Keystone and Heartland both have floor plans. The bigger key here is to watch your GVRW - and your cargo capacity. By the time you add all the rest of your cargo - and that includes fuel, water, etc, you might max out your cargo limits, thus overloading your trailer. I'm looking at the same issue trying to make a choice on which toy hauler to purchase!! Good luck on your search!

SpecRacer ....i too have had the same question and have done a lot of looking at other units while at the dunes. i have found nothing made in indiana that is for larger toys like sxs's or sand rails. here is what i have come up with. i do not know your wants or needs but have a decent idea. i do not know your physical condition but if you can crawl into your toy , imo, then you don't need a walk around bed. i don't know the track width of your toy but i do know my sand rail is 80" wide in the front, 88" track width rear, 13' 2" long and weighs 1960 lbs wet fresh off the sand. based on those dimensions and the fact that i don't need a separate garage, solely because i keep mine maintained and rubber band a paper towel and bag over my fuel tank vent.



with that said...... lakota builds one of the best, imo, but only offers an 8' wide model that doesn't work for myself. they will customize far more than one thinks. they build horse trailers but offer a toyhauler line. the benefit to that is that they are built to handle lots of weight, are all aluminum and built to travel off pavement plus hold there re-sale value. you can search youtube for lakota horse trailers with living quarters and know, all those models are offered in a toyhaulers with an open floor plan or separate garage of your size. you do have to take 2 steps on your knees into bed but no big deal imo.

merhow supposedly offers a 102" wide model but haven't heard back to confirm that yet. again specialize in horse trailers but offer toyhauler models as well. not as nice as lakota imo but hey that's just my opinion!

now if you don't need a separate garage there are 3 manufacturers on the west coast that have models built by offroaders for offroaders with nation wide warranty coverage. built better than any indiana toyhauler imo.

i should add that eclipse ( attitude/stellar) offer 8k lb axle upgrades if you need another 2k to 3k lbs of ccc. also offer thermal pane windows.

if your referring to rapture or fusion.....they look good but thats all. ask the offroad community about those two. only people i have met that like them were the ones on there first trip or two lol

Avenger, I think its a Forest River. My son bought a 38’ Avenger with a 16’ garage rated at 3000, lbs. this had the two beds that raised up to the ceiling in the back.

Am I missing something in the original question?, ATC makes several models.
15.5' x 81" on the 8.5' x 29' Bedroom model. (18'5" on the 21K GVWR Fifth Wheel)

On closer inspection, I see dsrace posted ATC in a video link. Pricey, but should do the job.

the 5th wheel model is 18' 5" if your toy is really narrow. no sand rail or jeep can fit between that and the wall. the narrow sxs's can though or quads. atc look to be very well built but like you aid they are very pricey. i like the lakota models as they are built as strong as atc if not stronger but better interiors imo. wolf pack make a th'er they claim has over 15' in the garage. theres a bathroom in the garage that has a wall that folds back. in no way is that a 15' garage if there is something takin up floor space. full width then length is how they should measure garages/cargo.

Seems like it would shift the weight of your "toys" farther behind the axles. You'd also have to subtract the weight of the extension itself from your total cargo capacity. I guess if you could modify your TH with one of these, stay under weight and still get close to 20% on the pin, it could work for you.
