2016 Fuzion 371

Hello all,

Just picked up out new Fusion yesterday. While looking around I found 4 brackets on the rear of the coach. I don't know what they are for. two are located along the top above the garage door and the other two are about half way down each side of the garage door. I have nothing that would indicate they hook to them. I was wondering if anyone my know what they are for? I can't seem to find anything that would be an accessory for it but I am not sure.

Thanks

Take a picture of what you are talking about, might be able to tell easier by looking at it.

Sounds like where you'd fasten the cables when you turn your ramp into a patio. Are there no cables? What about railings?

Nice looking rig. I just finished my second trip in our new Impact 312. Love this camper!

Take a couple of pictures and post them so we can see what you are seeing.

Its not for the patio set up I know that for sure. The cables are already attached. I will send pics in a day or so.

Thanks
Greg

Following.
I think i have the same things. Mine look like a bracket that you would slide a flat strap through to tension down the awning. Didnt get any straps though.

Ahhh, now I think I know what you're describing. Those brackets are for the rear awning stabilizer arms. The stabilizer arms are stored INSIDE the awning itself.

Hey Greg, how does your 3/4 ton swr truck pull the 371? We were looking at the same model and were a little concerned that my ram 2500 diesel wouldn't handle it well. I would really appreciate you feedback, we're itching to get a toy hauler asap.

Thanks, Scott

Scott, 3/4 tons will pull it. The question is: should you pull it with a 3/4 ton? Same motor as the 1-tons so the problem really isn't pulling.. The issue is pin weight and weight over 2 tires instead of 4. Pay attention to the pin weight and your trucks cargo capacity.

Yes, you have to take the awning end brackets off to access the arms, then replace the bracket so it then slides in for storage but not like when it is shipped. It took me forever to figure it out however the brackets are rarely needed as the awning is really pretty stiff all by itself. I don't know what the brackets at the top are for as the awning is mounted to the frame.

Okay, spent a half hour wonder how to get them out. Thanks for the tip. So there is a way to reinstall them so they are easily accessable.

Wink Here's how I did it. . .

Yes. Just put the end bracket back on after pulling out the arms. Then retract the arms back into the awning. Now the arms can't come all the way out, the end bracket stops them. The end has the side bracket that hangs out like a "T", the part that slips into the piece pictured above. There is room in the awning holder for that to fit at both ends when retracted. At least that is how I've done it on mine.

Cripes, those things had me on the ropes, couldn't get them out of the awning. Finally got them out, was feeling a bit incompetent. Thanks for your help.
