Hey Kris! How the heck are ya?! You've been MIA for some time now! What the heck ya been up to?

Hey...I got an even better reason in addition to that one...the weekend before, a friend of mine and I are gonna be driving 8 laps down @ Cal Speedway...Richard Petty Driving Experience action...courtesy of our wives' B-Day present tihs last weekend. Can you say 160 mph's?!

Hey...don't stay away so long, OK?!

...can't keep up lately. I'm up to my EYEBALLS in my dune-buggy restoration right now. I spend all my time working and wrenching. That, and begging my wife to let me spend more money. I think I may sell the YFZ to pay for the rest of my project. It's gonna hurt terribly, but it may have to happen.

Going to Eric's BBQ on Oct. 1st?

Drop me a line when you decide on the next Dumont trip!

10-4! As long as my boss doesn't have sugarplum ideas of me being at a branch doing inventory!

I believe the hardest part of your restoration would be the sales job on the 'ol wifey...replacing stuff is the easy part, right?!

Are we gonna get a peek, say, by New Years? I think our group is planning a Dumont trip then...

I would say...look for my rural assault vehicle by the end of September. Amy is due in the next few weeks, so we probably will not be camping until about October 1.

I told her that saying about the Vietnamese women delivering babies in the rice paddies then going straight back to work...she didn't think it was funnny.

Good luck, Kris and Amy! Please be sure to post when the happy event occurs. We sure would love to see you all at Diirk's Oktoberfest.

Oktoberfest...now why didn't I think of that?
It would have eliminated the whole "whatever" portion of the thread that degenerated to the vaunted "pickle parade".

Sean,

I know it's off topic but yesterday I took the
grandkids to see Herbie. A cute movie. It was
great to hear all the belly laughs from the peanut gallery.

And, it was neat to see Herbie win the Nextel race! You gotta see it......

Here is the story

So....any other logo ideas? I know fly-boy is still working some.

The poll shows that the majority want t-shirts and stickers, with a mix of other items.

There will also be a raffle. We'll be handing out tickets at the Rally, so make sure you check in with Dave (lacofdfireman) or I to get one, one ticket per RV, (Class A's with trailers count as 1, sorry Gary). There will also be prizes awarded for various things, like farthest drive. Any other ideas for giving out door prizes is welcome. I think the raffle will happen on Saturday evening after the potluck, say 8pm.

We also have two more sponsers, though I haven't put their logos up on the site yet.

I just looked at the attendee's guest list and
see that my son is planning to bring some
interesting dinner quests
