<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">...He thinks it's stronger and all that would remain on the truck if sold would be the brackets..... </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
I should read about that hitch more, but my family is bugging me to get on the 'net..
..but does it have SIDE swivel .... or 4-way swivel ??
Again, i don't know how much off-roading you do, but complete articulation helps

My local guy got mine for $800, but you can find them online for even cheaper than that- 'normal' price is somewhere around $1100 from what I remember.
Dave...from what I can see, that should work...the $80 install charge is KILLER! Man...my guy got $225 to install, and I've had him do 3 of 'em in years past. Gotta give Clark the neuvos pin for doing his- that's some work there!
I think, though Dave, the price is a little suspect...thats' really cheap for a 16k hitch and the install...the only thing I have to reply on is my instincts (you know- you get what you pay for). Have you priced them elsewhere by chance?

Yeah I am a little suspect but I do know the installer and he is a very particular guy. The hitch is new from RBW in the box or more accurately 3 boxes. The two other shops in town I checked with wanted more for the install & $20 bucks more for the hitch. So it's really a matter of competition.

$223.00 And you supply the Beer!!
Really I have to go with WWFan "I have to rely on my instincts (you know- you get what you pay for)". There are many out there.
I like to see feel and touch them. See them mounted in a rig before I make the decision.
as a side note all the hitches out there put to shame the ones we mounted 25 years ago when I use to work at the RV lot.... But than again we are towing much Heavier rigs these days...

$222 gets the job! (that outta buy me a more premium beer somewhere!) Oh Clark...you keeellll me!!
Articulation is a BIG factor....the Reese's have full movement, in fact, my 20k has just a tad too much when I try to pull into the (what is the term guys? Something like a "Dutchman" or sumpthin?!). It almost floats back close to 90 degrees...may not be an issue, but when I see it doing that, and I always try to have the coach a tad lower than the hitch, it appears it's going to collide and push the trailer instead of pivoting and gettin' underneath it. Maybe something I need to get used to...

You know what I do is mark my level with an erase pen when I lift it to unhook. Then when I go to hook back up, I adjust to the level and I can back right under. The articulation helps get under the trailer easier. What a vast improvement over old days...

Holy Smokes I just realized I went over 200 posts....And you guys aren't tired of me yet.. Yeah
That's a great point Sean. I wouldn't buy one that don't pivot side to side. I know back in the day they were a solid bar from wheel well to wheel well and there were times when you could just feel the strain.
$220.00 and now were talken some good beer!

I got to get all I can before my 7 month vacation where putting in your hitch at 102* is childs play. Honestly I don't know how you did that Clark. Heck just putting mine in the truck tuckered me out and the kids had to where gloves so they didn't get burned!
