actual length measurement

I have noticed all RVs including toy haulers have numbers posted on the outside of the rig, usually by the door. it seems to indicate the length give or take a few feet. We were told this number was what campgrounds used to accept or limit rigs into the site. e.g. some campgrounds don't accept rigs longer than 35 feet.
If my toy hauler has a 331 on the outside, will the campsite accept it as a 33 footer even though the actual measurement is 37 feet?

I guess you could try, but an experienced campground person will probably notice 4 foot lie. Are you afraid they'll charge you more? I've been charged for 50 amp over 30 amp service, not length except to assign me a spot my RV fits.

The number by your door is the model number, or floor plan number. That's it.

I give the actual length of our rig to the campsite to ensure
we get the appropriate size site.
