Adding Invertor to a Fuzion

Just traded my 40ft DP for a Fuzion 385. While I was very spoiled with all the electronics in the DP. The Fuzion does not have an invertor to run electric items without the generator going. Has anyone installed an invertor and what brand did you pick up. Any info on installation instruction would be nice as well. Some of the vids I have seen on Youtube do not really help me out. I want to have the invertor run all electrical outlets and have a remote switch inside the TH.

I think first you need to determine how much 120v power you want to use. Changing from 12v DC to 120v AC a 10:1 jump in volts, but also energy is lost when the inverter changes DC to AC. To power all outlets in your RV is a bit ambitious, you'd need a n awful lot of battery capacity. All those batteries would require long periods of generator time to recharge them.

Once you decide on real needs, buy an inverter that meets those demands plus a bit more. Also what 120v items you want to power helps determine if you want a pure sine wave (PSW) or a modified sine wave (MSW) inverter. PSW are more expensive watt for watt, but prices are coming down.

Mounting the inverter near the batteries is important, 12v DC weakens as it travels over distance much faster than 120v AC. The inverter also needs ventilation, they do generate heat during operation.
