Sean, I'm good...how 'bout yourself?
Did ya get the sound system in? Pics?
FD, I'm in.......but here's my dilemma, for the salt flats it's electric only, but my heart want's the gas, so I guess I give up on the dreams of glory of a world speed record.

Clark, That's the beauty of a "barstool racer"........Toy?....what toy?....all I see is a workbench stool.

alright,
sensitivity is an underrated quality of the male species,
its just that NONE of us possess it
here's some pics of my BarStoolRacer in its first stage of completion:
(as long as some other pics of my garage)
unfortunately they got blurry, i don't know right off the bat what i did wrong, i had been "relaxing" for a while today before i took them however
my latest chopper:
and some of the quads:
I'm going to reshoot all the pics,
but thats not the important thing,
the important thing is that the iRV2BarStoolRacers are going strong.
HighDesert Wes, we are going!!!!!!!

Mike,
It looks like I finally found someone with more projects then me in the garage.
I think your a step or two ahead of me. What kind of steering are you going to use?
Have you decided on the type of wheels, tires, brakes and spindles?
Nice Harleys BTW. Your project bike is looking great.
....And you have paddles on your quad.....been to the dunes?
Wes

Wes
first of all,... good eye on the paddles on the quad,
...the little Raptor up front can't really run paddles, so you did indeed see them on the 400EX in back, and with my blurry picture, that was a good eye !
Buttercup dunes !!!
Wes, i have my parts list for the BarStoolRacer that i am using at work,
....but the wheels are going to be 6x10 in back and 6x7.25 up front, with the slicks:
11.5x8x6 in the back.
I am going to send you my generalized plans.
The steering is easy.
And i insist upon personally using a steering WHEEL and NOT motorcycle handlebars.
A steering column is real straightforward, and a couple tierods and spindles,
you can get the 5/8" steering columns with or without the tierod connectors welded on, just depending on where you want those connections to lie.
and i'm using a #35 chain - nothing heavier.
I have some ideas, i do nothing quick, i am going to toss some ideas in your direction, give me a day, and if you have any critiques or ideas, .....FIRE AWAY.
i feel that the emphasis here is immaturity, and yet at the same time, sitting on a bar stool while going 40+ MPH down the street.
i don't think anything else needs to be argued

FD, you know you may want to extend the frame somewhat so it'll handle more topside weight in the turns. I think I'd cut the barstool down some to lower my center of gravity.
Have you seen any of this on ESPN? I saw a barstool race in Minnesota one night, it was hilarious. The perquisite is to drink a six pack first, or whatever your drinks is, and continue during the heat races. He who wins usually can hold his liquor better than the others. I just about fell out of my recliner watching it. Next thing I know, you're starting one.
Next we'll have lawn mower racing! Thats been on TV too.
