Today I pulled the water heater anode rod to check it out. Whoo boy, it was almost all gone. Plus maybe a full cup of mineral sand poured out. When I did a wand flush another cup of stuff came out. Keep in mind this rig has only seen 6 months of service. That was in the Bay area. Heads up folks. Check your rod reguarly!

Rod's been rodding as only a hot rod can rod. Good call on that one hover. I have an 01 and I'll have to put that on my to do list this weekend. I believe the previous owner burnt out the electric element so I'll be checking that also. Let's see 4 yaers later, I believe they call that a round tuit.

(Hey...he's the only Rod I know right now!).

Dave- that's one of those 12 miles or 12 months, whichever is sooner things...aren't you glad you caught it before one chilly morn, you wake up to take a shower, and WHAM!- no hot water?

Good catch!

Ahhhh...the ol "round tuit"!

BB- you may have a few more months left in that ROD! (I know Mrs. BB would like to think it's a 'tad longer' than that!).

Actually, I have been out mastering my outdoor speakers. Nothing like you Sean, just a little melody by the campfire. I do have to say that now I feel a little bad for the guy who bought my old 5er. It was a year old.
