Sean, no new info yet. We do have a band lined up, and the electrical is being run as we speak. Still trying to figure out what to do for a stage.....

For those of you that have yet to RSVP, please do so. We need to know how many cans of whipped cream to buy and how big of a slip-n-slide to get.....

presumably the livestock have already been rented?

remember, you can drag ewe to water but you can't make them drink. But mention the word mutton to it, and it will start chugging like no tommorow.

Just how much room do you have for trailers and RV's...? Enough for us too?

I took a day off work for this bad-boy, I'm thinkin we may as well stay the night. I know my wife will not feel like driving my drunk rear home at 2 AM anyway.

Phatty, no sweat. There are only 8 RV's RSVP'd at the moment and we can handle that without any problems, so there's room for ya. Besides, I just cleared the North 40 on Sunday for additional parking.....

Oh, man! You're gonna have the butt-naked slip-n-slide set up? That'll be nipply ... er, I mean nippy if the evening temperature drops!

Eric, sorry to say we cannot make this shindig. As it stands now, we will be in the midst of moving Nick's invalid (as in very ill) brother from San Diego to Santa Cruz that weekend. I sure wish we could join the party...it would be a heck of a better way to spend the weekend if only my BIL's health had taken a different course.

But we're hoping to get to Rasor Road and, come h-e-l-l or high water, we certainly won't miss Dove Springs. See ya'll then!

Sandy
sorry to hear about the reason you need to be in our town here that weekend.

If you happen to show up a little earlier then the weekend itself, give me a call and I'll take you guys out to dinner or a BBQ at my place. As i recall, i live just a handful of miles east of Nick's bro.

good luck,
Mike

Sandy, just for you, we'll postpone the butt-nekid slip-n-slide until you are able to attend. I know you wouldn't want to miss it.

I'm sorry to hear about your BIL. I hope everything goes OK and all our best wishes go with you.

I was thinking of setting up a horseshoe area.
I'll be by Costco tonight, I think I saw some horseshoe stuff there last time.

Hey Eric...we've got one of those Costco specials- all nice and shiny (except for one use)...already loaded in the TH...maybe you could pre-set about 2-3 pits for us!!

No better way to !!! OK...maybe that slipnslide thing could do the same effect (memories of Rush Week at SDSU comes to mind!)...

Thanks guys. Costco was out of the sets.
How long x wide do the horseshoe pits need to be? How much sand at the ends?

Eric:

Well...according to my set's RuleBook, the overall Court should be 50 x 7 feet, with the stakes 40 feet apart with a 3 foot foul line in front of both of them. The pits should be 4 x 3 feet, with the 4 foot being longitudal. It didn't mention ANYTHING about neck'd ladies being between the 34 feet of empty space, but then I didn't get the Vegas version (I think the foul area is a technical term for those who admire the scenery!). I'm sure we can adjust as neccessary while play is in action.

Can hardly wait! I'll be throwing my best THAT weekend!!

Sean
