Hey Guys & Gals...I gotta tell ya about this shin-dig at the Colorado Belle in Laughlin...we were there this last weekend, and man!- did the place ROCK! I never really gave much creedence to Jazz (they called it Blues, but it was alot more than some singer whining about their lovelife), but I was astounded at the music. Three bands...none of which sucked...some of the best bands I heard in a while (main one was Michael Burks- I guess well-renown for his work and a guitarist that puts alot of them to SHAME!). Rock City- guaranteed.

We got the package deal from the CB (one of our dearest HDH friends had their anniversary that weekend), and yes...we did some gambling (to the tune of about 5-6 hours at a BJ table Friday night until 1am, not to mention the many coineaters we fed with sporatic luck but a smile on our face), but the piece-a-la-resistaux (yeah...that was my attempt at French- so sue me) was Saturday out in the parking lot with this extravegant setup and stage with some of the best music I've heard in a long time. We got out there about 11am and stayed until 11pm...more suds and food than you could imagine, if you ventured out towards the river, there was a bar that had 60oz whatever-you-wanted- we chose Hurricanes- 3 in fact (that's why we only made it to 11pm- we wudda had another but on the third visit the bartender made us spell "plastered'- I won, but my friend didn't- forgot that darn last "e"). People just having a great time, hootin' and hollerin', cigar-smokin', dancing like no tomorrow, no holes barred, got-to-get-down, don't-wanna leave-it-oh damm...got 'ta because I cain't see no more kinda time.

Oh...right in the middle of all of this was this Hawaiian Tropic Girls regional bathing suit contest 'suitoff' (well..actually suit-on, but imagination was your, errr...my only limitation if I let it, and I didn't ), and the 400-500 person crowd was into it, y'all! Dang...oh to be 25 again- sing it with me!!

And obviously, other than a teeshirt, a $5 commerative Michael Burks chip, and one heck of a hangover but not as bad as my HDH friend (poor sole- wifey says he was still paying for it this morning), it was one heck of a memory that will reside for some time.

Just a great time with no reservations...will do it again next year!

Sean

Hey chief, sounds like a great time. Those memories sure cost a lot anymore don't they? And it seems its harder to remember those memories the next day now too.

Ah yes, to be 25 again. I don't think so! I'd probably never make it to my age twice, lucky to make it the first time.

Tom: There could be more truth than fiction on that observation, but heck...I gambled quite a bit last weekend, and I'd be willing to give it an 'ol college try if I could! (There's a song title I need to recite, but just can't get my tongue on it just quite yet)...

Clark!

If you saw my friend Sunday, you'd definitely say it was too much fun! Usually I'm the one that gets all flabuckered up, but he did a dandy playing the Wheel Of Fortune coineater and having the cocktail waitress bringing him all her "leftovers"...he's just an animal, I tell ya. I've had better Hurricanes in New Orleans (not a pun...and God Bless those people), but I have experienced that certain liquid libation there and there's no substitute, but obviously Davey hasn't. The day snuck up on him sumpthin' fierce.

The good news is we had one heck of a Friday night and a Saturday! Hey...I've got the CD we purchased of Michael Burks...I'll bring it this weekend.

Sean
