Hello fellow riders, I have the opportunity to buy a Yamaha Raptor 50 from my bro-in-law. It would be great for my daughter except it's a red-sticker bike and we ride all year. I can't believe a little 50 4-stroke is a red-sticker. Is this correct? Does anyone else have a small bike with a red-sticker? Could it be a mistake? Can it be changed? He phoned in the VIN and the DMV confirmed it. I appreciate any input. Kel.

Its because it did not meet CA. emissions Requirements, Go to http://www.corva.org/ and click on the "other links" tab then click on " green & red sticker registration"

Was it purchased out of state? That may have something to do with it. CA and out of CA bikes have different requirments as far as emmissions.

Yep it's a Red Sticker. I think only the Honda 90 is green. You may want to check because some areas are not restricted to Green only, like Mammoth.
