Well. is it time for you West Coast guy's to go camping in the desert yet?

I envy your access to lands out there for going out in the middle of nowhere and setting up camp. A little bit different than us out here that have to go to RV parks.

Let us know how much fun you have, OK?

the temps are now doable,

the warmest spot in the US one day last week was here in EastCounty at 99 degrees, in Death Valley that same day it was 95

that clearly has finally dropped down to good riding temps

As far as desert riding in my neck of the woods goes, East Fort Rock/Millican area just east of Bend is huge with well marked trails. Open areas, areas of scrub oak, areas of pine forest w/antelope. Last time I went there it was 15 degrees in the morning. By afternoon the sun had softened the deep snow on the higher trails, and it turned into a winch fest.

Most every place else I go is forested. The Tillamook riding area has super-steep stuff, mud, and ferns for undergrowth (coastal range). Moro County ATV park is flatter, drier forest...
