Wow guys...in a matter of 2 hours and 11 minutes, this thread expanded to 3 pages. I think this sets a record.

But on the topic, I feel badly for you guys who have to deal with code enforcement officers. I think it is a shame that beaurocracy rules over individual's rights. Its not like you are renting space to someone else to park their RV, its your RV and you are the property owner. According to my understanding of the U.S. Consititution, it is the landowner who is sovereign over his land. The battle today would be to prove it. There are too many "girly-girls", and not enough manly-men, in government.

Well stated George! Indeed! You're right about this board, we do move through the subjects quickly. Kinda like the Mazda commercial.. Zoom,Zoom, Zoom.

TXiceman, Funny you mention that. Venting to my wife I told her I was going to make a Silverado out of cardboard and slide it in position when the need arises just like we use to do to fake out the enemy in times of war with fake airplanes etc. oh the world we live in

Wes,

That's the place!!! Be there today thru next Thurs/Fri Morning. The camground is up on a bluff overlooking the ocean. No real beach across the street from the CG, you have to drive a few miles to get to one, but there are numerous things to do their, and it is in the Santa Monica Mountains, so there are lots of things to do.

Hopefully I can send pictures during the week.

Clark

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">Sounds like it is time to play the game their way. They want it hooked up to a truck??? Buy the cheapest old junk truck you can find that runs...the uglier the better...and leave the trailer hooked up to the ugly truck. Shoot, even if it will not pull the trailer, drop the trailer and back the junker up to it and hook it up.

The made me do it. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Ken- Love that idea...a 'ol beater...one that cost maybe $150? I love it! Great idea...

Griz- Cardboard's even cheaper! I suspect the "Fathers" of the Law didn't allow for that angle, except that there may be some provision that requires it to be 'running'!

And George: absolutely right...but I have to admit it's OUR fault for letting it happen- there's so many battles on so many fronts these days, it's hard to fight 'em all.

Good thread there Griz!!
