Coachmen Freedom Express Blast for a Motorcycle?

Hello All,

I am looking at a new Freedom Express Blast online (It's in another state so I haven't seen it in person yet). But I have a question.

In the photos I have seen, there are 4 D-rings mounted to the floor, but they don't look very far apart from front to back.

Has anyone used those to tie down a motorcycle? Is it possible to add more without it looking all sketchy?

Also, do people who have these trailers like them?

Thanks!

Looking at the specs from Coachman, it looks to hav e 6 tied owns, hard to tell how far apart though.

On my Coleman lantern toy hauler (very similar) I mounted a front wheel chock to the floor. The chock holds the bike where it is, and the tie downs hold it from side to side. I remove the chock as soon as the bike is unloaded.

We had a Freedom Express Blast and and hauled our Softail at times and our Tri-Glide at times in it. Tie downs worked fine. Did over 20k miles with one or the other in there.

We do use a wheel chock with the 2 wheeler.

Here's a vid, toward the end it shows us loading it up.

We have since upgraded to a Freedom Express 271, not because of any loading or tie down issues in the Blast. We just wanted more living space while the bike was in there.

I have the Blast and live it so far. Mostly camp by myself, so plenty of room.

We owned a 2017 17BLSE and it only had 4 tie-downs. We put varies motorcycles in it and it pulled nicely. I did have to get a little creative in how I tied it down, so it didn’t move.
I did see an updated video from Haylett that the 2019-2020 now has 6 tie-downs.
