Repo guy near me has a 2007 for sale with over 60,000 miles on it.. Ford V-10. 140 Hours on the genset. Rig looks like its been "rode Hard and put away wet" I see no obvious damage other than a missing bed and a lot of dirt. He wants 52K plus tax tags etc. This sound like a "Deal" or is that mileage gonna hurt me when I trade up to a newer model year in the future?

A gas v10 will get about nothing MPG and will require a lot of TLC! If you plan on doing many trips do yourself a favor and look for a diesel. I would look at nada.com to see what an outlaw books for, maybe check with a dealer also. I would say you could swap engines but changing from gas to diesel requires fuel, ecm, exhaust and lots of other changes.
Good luck on your decision

Thanks Fred. I'm really interested in knowing how much longer that V-10 is going to last and how much of a hit I will take when I trade it in with 80 or 90 thousand miles on it...

If I could afford a diesel M/H I wouldn't be looking at a repossesed Gas model with 60,000 miles on it.

Would keep looking, there are a lot of them for sale and have seen them sit for a long time without selling. Just found(on a quick search on Google) an '07 with 42k miles asking $60k.

There are some real deals in diesel MH out there but you have to dig hard to find them. Check with your bank and credit union. Check Craigslist but be wise. A diesel with 100,000 is just getting ready to work.
