56,

How long does it take you to get there from your home? What way are you taking?

Hi Clark,

From Santa Cruz..... it is just about 300 miles
and if I drove straight to Dove Springs, it is
about 8 hours.

Mapquest says:
Total Est. Time: 5 hours, 34 minutes Total Est. Distance: 312.87 miles

I'll take I-5 to 46 to 99 to 58 to 14

If must be nice to live in Southern CA. We don't
have many places to ride up here.

Got a call this evening from my bro, 56 Nomad. He was about one hour from touchdown at Dove Springs. He plans on "Caution" yellow taping off approximately a square mile (give or take ) for our party

King Salami and I along with our three offspring hope to be departing Santa Cruz on Thursday afternoon.

I'll post more info as I receive it.

To everybody at Dove Springs,

Had a great time sitting and chattin for the day. What an unbelievable group of great people. To everyone who didn't get the chance to go and was thinking about it, these people here on this forum and the other one are some of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet up with. Even though I had only talked with these folks over these forums, you would have though I was near family. Sandy Feet, King Salami, and 56, Thank you for the hospiltality extended to me. I told my wife when I got home that I felt you were all family members, for I was welcomed in and treated like one of the family. I can't wait to bring her along to meet you when we can meet up again.

Sean, I had a blast shooting the **** with you. I know we will have more fun trips in the future. Fatdog, someday!!!!! I sure hope you got things squared away with your truck.

To all the other folks, I'm sorry I can't remember all the names, it was great meeting you all.

Looking forward to more fun in the future,

Clark

Well we made it back today. Easy trip back no problems at all. I lied got stuck in traffic but that does not count...

Had a very good time. The weather was perfect, the riding was fantastic but the company of friends was even better.

WWFAN your are the "MAN" when it comes to music. Sean I hope you sell your 5th wheel today. Also when you are ready for a real truck I will get you in contact with my "Chevy" sales person. By the way we left two hours after you did.

Clark watch out for those 800 MHz radios hihi!! I am sure will meet at the OASIS one of these days. Sometime in July I will be heading up to Utah for some ATVing and probably stop there.

As for the Northern Cali gang you guys rule... Let us know for the Mammoth or lake Tahoe trip. We are ready for some change of scenery and elevation.

Absolutely! I had a blast meeting everyone, and hope you to do again soon! And you're right...elevation change will be needed if we do that!

I may have "another" qualified buyer, but I'm not holding my breath. And I also got a call coming down Cajon Pass- a guy who wants to come out and see it. So the calls are there- it's just finding that right buyer- I appreciate your concern. And I'm not quite ready to make that brand change yet- I think I'll stay off TDS for a while!

Clark, 56, King, and Sandy- loved every minute of it!
Let me know what future trips you've got planned (geezzz...like you won't?

Take care everyone!

Sean

Clark:

It was truly a blast meeting you...you're so close- expect to be invited to quite a few bashes to the East!

And please forgive me to everyone else- I may not have mentioned your name, but really enjoyed meeting you and hope you can hang around here a "bit more! If you like to read, there's a bunch of reading to do here lately!

Hi All;

Back home safe and sound - showered and all that stuff.

I just wanted to add what a great time we had, Always love meeting new and fun people. Kudo's to everyone on the pot luck, some great food and no left overs (no chili omelets the next morning). I'll just have to make more next time.

Please let us know when the next gathering is planned. I'll float a loan, fill up the motor home and do it all over again.

Everyone take care

i am miserable
half way there, i find myself in a WalMart parking lot pulling my front wheel off to try and figure out what my odds of stopping my rig every time i push on the brake pedal is. i wasn't sure what was going on
my truck is in the shop right now replacing or turning rotor and reinstalling pads.
i have a 5'r still full of chow, gas, and bikes. i spent the night back in SanDiego in a local trailer park.

thanks Clark, Sean, and Sandy for the calls. Clark, sounds like you apparently were a potential real helper in targeting rigs into the spot, thanks for the offer to meet me at the entrance and guide us in. I ended up a 100 miles short though.

Cordie and i will talk later today on shether to unpack the 5'r, or take off this weekend to the desert

it sounds like it was a blast
Mike

Mike:

Oh man!! I bet you are...what a bummer...we were really lookin forward to meeting you. This last trip was the last for my 95 and its camping days- next two weekends I'll be at the Victor Valley College in Hesperia/Victorville trying real hard to sell it.

If you're thinkin 'bout the desert this weekend, I hope you have two a/c's on the LE! It was a tad warm this last weekend! When we get the new 5v'er, we'll have to scope out somewhere in between me and you (like Idylwild?) so we can stay cool.

Be sure to let us know exactly what the skinny was on your truck...OK?

Sean
