I am looking at a KZ 33 or 35 fith wheel and also a Raptor 3310SS. The KZ come with Dual axles and the Raptor is triple.
Any pros and cons? I have heard that the triple will be a little more stable but then you have that third axle to drag around, & another set of tires. Any extra wear on the tires of the third axle when turning?
The rig will mostly be on the highway as it will be used as a moblile showroom (the garage) for the apparel and footwear lines I represent to retailers.

We live and RV in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. I like the triple axle for more braking power. I also like having a capacity cushion.

I like everything about the triple axles except when it comes time to pack wheel bearings and buy tires or replace brakes.

Tom is right, costs but more sure is stable towing and I like having 6 sets of brakes on our unit. Depending on the weight of the RV some really get to pushing the limits of a dual axle setup. I had looked at a Jayco Taylon, like everything but it was on a dual axle and not triple I passed on it. Sure enough the next year the Talon came in a triple. We've been very happy with our Raptor in the year that we've had it and have another fun year planned.

Senoir Tomas & Y-Guy are correct- but I think that's just about it for the downside...
...AND NOW FOR THE PART WHERE EVERYONE FLAMES ME FOR BRINGING IT UP....the ride for passengers in a tri-axle TH is alot better- been there- done that- in both versions. I have had dreams of adding shocks to the axles on our SLC, but too many other things to take care of first. Looks like I'm gonna have to go another year without my 16" tires & rims. Oh well...
Yikes...what did I start here?!

I won't flame you. Though we don't ride in the Raptor, the dogs do and when we arrive they always look happy and rested so it must be the triple axle keeping the happy.

I appreciate it Y-Guy, but /Bob's thread will prove there's someone out there that will!
Our goldens ride back there all the time- keeps the golden fir out of the King. I guess I could wrap 'em in stretch wrap, but somehow I think they wouldn't like it.
