Favorite TH for Full Time Living?

Hi all!

We are searching for our next home-on-wheels and definitely want a TH. We like the idea of 2 decks, but that isn't a deal breaker. We have considered the 40+ foot big names like Cyclone, Momentum, etc. but we are concerned they may be TOO large for where we want to go. Size aside, what's your favorite toy hauler and why? Any smaller ones that are worth losing some space for?

My family has fulltimed for the past 4 years. I have 2 kids (6 and 15). We started in a 42' bunkhouse fifth wheel and last year changed over to a 43' toy hauler.

We ended up with a Spartan 1245 by Primetime Manufacturing (a Forest River brand). Our decision point came down to our list of must haves in a floorplan and the cargo carrying capacity.

Knowing from previous weighings, I know that we run heavy with carrying about 4,500 lbs. of water + cargo. I knew that going to a toy hauler, we would need to add furniture to the garage (aka kid's room) and that would have its own weight.

I saw some toy haulers with cargo carrying capacities as low as 2,000 lbs. Heck, I think I took notice to one that was as low as 1,800 lbs! The Grand Designs seemed to hover around 3,500 lbs.

With fulltiming, you're going to be running heavier than the average weekender. And if you're carrying a toy, that has its own weight to be aware of. Add in a fuel station and the fuel it can carry, and you can eat up a tremendous amount of carrying capacity right out of the gate.

Plus the weight of any water you carry. Fresh water, water heater, and "starter" water in the black tank(s) all add up.

CCC was our top priority.

We own a Road Warrior 427 with the side patio, sister unit to the Cyclone. It is around 45 foot and weighs 16K empty.

We are going fulltime this June and plan on traveling around. We will be hauling our golf cart with us in the Road Warrior.

It depends on how many toys you want to haul.

This has the most living space and room for one street bike.

We have been fulltime for over a year in our Jayco North Point, but we just ordered a 2019 Jayco Seismic 4113. It is huge, but it has everything we want. It's more of a luxury toyhauler. We looked at all the other brands, but their fit and finish just looked and felt cheap. I knew it wouldn't hold up to everyday use. Check it out.

if i had to have a toyhauler its easy. Newmar X-Aire ot travel supremes i think it was called a sport. hydraulic folding ramp door on the x-aire make it a hands down choice. no more riding up the ramp.

Another Momentum owner....394M. Triple axle, 12 1/2' garage, 3 A/C units, theater seating plus another sofa, dinette for 4, central vac, Lippert 6 point hydraulic auto level, onboard generator, back ramp/patio with electric awning plus three other awnings. It measures 42' 4" from the king pin to the rear, so about 44' overall. 15,400 lb empty and 20K GVWR.....and it's a Grand Design, so customer service is among the tops in the RV world.

Cargo capacity is pretty light on this model - make sure it works for you.

We have our eye's on the Grand Design 351M, we love the layout and the extra half bath. We tend to boondock a LOT so the 156 gallons of fresh will be awesome.

Very similar layout to the 350M which is what we have and we love the layout. Good luck!
