We just got back from Myrtle Beach Bike week which was also our first trip with our new Raptor. It was a total success and we are very happy with the Raptor. The only layout design we don't like is where the TV is (you have to turn your head right to watch it). Also, the shower pipe leaked due to not being tight enough which was easily fixed.

Other than that, we felt like the King & Queen of the campground, lol! Picture it....ocean front campsite at one of the ONLY camgrounds that will allow motorcycles on your site during bike week, listening to music from our outdoor entertainment center as we sit under the awning, listening to the waves, watching the bikes and nice folks go by, eating good food....all after a wonderful day of riding. Heaven right here on this Earth!

Rhonda,

I can picture it right now, what a way to relax!!! I'm glad you had such a great time.

Now where are the picts???

I have a friend who just got a Raptor like yours. It is a very nice rig. Their only complaint is the same as yours, TV's in the wrong place they say.

Congrats again on the beautiful new rig!!!

Have fun and be safe...

Clark

Hi Rhonda,

Glad to hear your maiden voyage was a success!

I'm looking for a slide out TV bracket that would
bring the TV out from the wall and then be able
to rotate it to a comfortable viewing angle.

Does anyone has a good source for something like this?

Hi Clark. Thanks!!

The very few pics I took were on the first and second day and unfortunately, did not turn out well. I was in bad light with each pic, or there's something wrong with my camra.

I usually do a better job with pics.

I'm sure there's a way to do what you're wanting, but with ours, it would have to come out a mighty LONG way to help us. So we're just looking at different sitting arrangements.

Dear King and Queen of the campground,

nice image you paint of thaat camapsite. (actually it kind of reminds me of the one Clark like to go to in Carlsbad.)
Glad to her the trailer lived up to its high expectations.
And whats up with some campground not allowing bikes during Myrtle Beach bike week? You'd figure for one lousy week someone in the marketing department would have thought that one through a little more, but maybe they sell out every week irrigardless. The only place i've camped and actually seen a bunch of 'No Bikes Welcome' was in Kern, CA along the river.
Glad to hear the trailer's only little breaking in glitch was a smaall hose not tightened all the way. Not bad at all.

Mike

Hi Rhonda
Wow your Raptor sure sounds nice and it sounds like you had a great time. I looked at the Raptor at Sandhills RV in Sandford NC, where I bought my TT and it really looked good.
My brother and his wife were in Myrtle Beach for Bike Week and you might have stayed at the same campground. He has a white Ford F-250 and a Prowler toy hauler. He just got a new Firefighter Special Edition Harley. He is a Firefighter with the City of Washington NC.
He told me that he was talking to someone who just got a new Raptor from a dealer in FL and that they had save a lot of money by buying it down there. He is looking at getting something better than he has now and he realy likes the Raptor.
I hope you have many years of enjoyment with your new Raptor.

Bill

Rhonda!

Congrats on the first trip...if TV placement and a loose pipe was the only probs, then you'd have to say it was quite the success!

Might as welll try it again, eh?

Bill!!!! I think we MET your brother and his wife!! Not only that, we GAVE HIM AND HIS WIFE A TOUR of OUR RAPTOR!!! Ask him....see if he is the same guy! We gave a tour to a couple, who had an older toy hauler, wanted to buy a new one and wanted to tour our Raptor to compare. We told him we got ours from Winter Garden, FL and saved alot of money there. WHAT A SMALL WORLD!! Wow, I can't get over this...

Let me know if this is the same couple. It has to be!!!! They were a very nice couple!!

Hi Rhonda,
Yes we are the we are the same couple. My brother told me about this site and that he read about your trip. I told him Sunday Night at Church about talking to you and how much we liked your new Raptor. I saw him tonight at a fire meeting so I came home and looked you up. I want to thank you again for spending time with us and showing us around. My wife and I talked about how nice it was to be able to talk to new people. It seems like we hardly ever get friendly neighbors. We had a safe trip home and it sounds like you must have too. We hope you continue to have fun in your new home away from home and be safe on that new Hertiage.

Hi Lee! I just KNEW it had to be you! This is great!

You are certainly welcome. We loved showing you our new Raptor and enjoyed meeting both of you. Part of the fun of going on these trips (rallies or just plain RVing) is meeting nice folks like both of you.

I wish you good luck in picking out that future new toy hauler, be it a Raptor or any other nice toy hauler out there. I hope you continue to visit this site now that you've found it. Please keep us up to date on what you decide to get.

Again, SO nice to have met you both!

the 'N.C Wing of the Toyhaulers' couldn't have a better spokesperson then Rhonda !

This has been an interesting development, with a couple brothers and their wives, (a couple more firefighters in our group), and all running into each other via Rhonda's exuberant campground visit. Interesting stuff!

and another Welcome to Bill's brother Lee and Rita,
and Rhonda, seemingly out of nowhere rave reviews of your hospitality and your new Raptor start flooding the internet!! Cool!
(and nice avatar picture as well)
Mike
